Doconda

Generate Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF with Amazon Bedrock

Give your Amazon Bedrock agent Doconda's tools and it will deliver finished, editable, reviewed Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files.

Bedrock reads documents. Doconda makes them.

Bedrock helps your agent read documents. Doconda lets it deliver them finished.

In a few lines, in Python or TypeScript

Your agent uses Doconda's tools and returns the link to the file.

import boto3
from doconda import Doconda

bedrock = boto3.client("bedrock-runtime")
tools = Doconda().tools()
spec = [{"toolSpec": {"name": t.name, "description": t.description,
         "inputSchema": {"json": t.input_schema}}} for t in tools]
messages = [{"role": "user", "content": [{"text": "Make an Excel with the event budget"}]}]

res = bedrock.converse(modelId=MODEL_ID, messages=messages,
                       toolConfig={"tools": spec})
# the model asks for create_document → run it and send back the result
use = next(b["toolUse"] for b in res["output"]["message"]["content"] if "toolUse" in b)
out = next(t for t in tools if t.name == use["name"]).run(use["input"])
out["links"]  # {"xlsx": "https://…", "pdf": "https://…"}

Frequently asked questions

How do I generate a Word document from an Amazon Bedrock agent?

Install the SDK (pip install doconda), pass doconda.tools() as toolConfig in bedrock.converse and run the tool the model asks for. Doconda returns the link to the Word file and its PDF, which your agent shares with the user.

Which Bedrock models work?

Any that supports tools in the Converse API, such as Claude, Amazon Nova or Mistral. Doconda doesn't depend on the model: it takes the request or the text and builds the file.

How is it different from Bedrock Data Automation?

Bedrock Data Automation extracts information from documents that already exist. Doconda creates new documents, and also reviews and edits the ones you have, returning an editable Office file.

How much does it cost?

Creating a document costs from €0.30, depending on quality; reviewing one, €0.03; reading a file to Markdown is free. You get €5 of credit when you sign up and there is no subscription.
